Mad about singing

THE Choir of Hard Knocks will perform for free in Dandenong on Saturday as part of a festival to help raise awareness of mental health issues.
Eastern Regions Mental Health Association (ERMHA) is hosting the R U OK 2Day? festival at Dandenong Park to raise awareness about mental health issues that affect one in five Australians.
The day is free and promises to be a fun-filled family event with activities including yoga, Bollywood dance, and gentle exercise.
A multicultural food stall will also be on offer, and for children there will be face painting, story time and a petting zoo.
Meanwhile, as part of Mental Health Week activities, ERMHA has officially opened its MadCap Cafe in the Dandenong Plaza.
Mental Health Minister Lisa Neville was on hand last week to help ERMHA open the transitional place of employment for people recovering from a mental illness.
R U OK 2Day? runs between 10am and 4pm this Saturday at Dandenong Park, corner of Foster and Pultney Streets, Dandenong.
