GALE force winds pounded Cornerstone on Friday leaving over $12,000 worth of damage.
Pastor Max Walker said as a result of Friday’s weather major damage was done to the section of roof over the Afghan contact centre rooms and female toilets.
He said repairs to replace the section of roof would be costly and as a faith mission, Cornerstone did not have that sort of money lying around.
“Cornerstone will continue to operate despite the storm damage,” he said.
“And we have launched an appeal to replace the roof.”
Pastor Don Cameron said the damage would be a big hurdle to overcome but Cornerstone would work through it.
Anyone who can assist financially is asked to send donations to Cornerstone Contact Centre, at P.O. Box 358, Dandenong.
