WHEN Bruce Patchell got word that an honour roll tribute to fallen soldiers had been dismantled from its original home, he made it his goal for it to be restored.
The Dandenong resident spoke to the Star after the historic board was featured on the front page of last week’s edition.
“I spoke to the architect about it and said the honour roll better be put back up,” he said.
“He had to extend the wall three feet to do it.”
Mr Patchell said he was glad his persistence paid off and proud to see the historic board restored.
