Never too old to learn

MORE than 500 people from all over the City of Greater Dandenong attended a special expo at the Springvale City Hall Springvale on Tuesday.
The Adult Learners Expo and Virtual Classes Expo was hosted by the Greater Dandenong Library’s English Language and Literacy Access (ELLA) service.
Adult Learners week is celebrated annually in over 40 countries and has been recognised in Australia since 1995.
The Adult Learners Week Expo event has been held in Springvale for about the last 10 years.
It aimed to provide adults access to a large range of information regarding education, training and job opportunities in Greater Dandenong and the south-east region.
The expo featured information stalls from community organisations, government and education providers from across the city and South East region including neighbourhood houses and community centres, job network providers, library services, and training providers.
Virtual classes including belly dancing, quilting and English were also held at the hall during the expo.
