KIDS across Greater Dandenong are encouraged to grab a friend and a parent and join mayor Jim Memeti for the Mayor’s Fishing Challenge this month.
The event will be held on Wednesday 29 September, at the Dandenong Creek from 11am until 2pm, and will feature a free barbecue lunch, a fun day of fishing and lots of prizes are up for grabs- including free fishing rods.
Kids can pre-register and go into a draw to win one of 50 new fully rigged fishing rods.
To enter, send an email to fish@cgd.vic.gov.au or phone 9239 5354 with your name, address and age. Pre-registration closes on Friday 24 September.
Participants should bring their own rods as only a limited number of rods will be available to borrow on the day. Parental supervision is also essential.
Parking is available at the Dandenong Stadium, 270 Stud Road, Dandenong North.
