Brekky guests were in the pink

POPINA Food Services held a breakfast last week to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Association.
About 100 people attended the event at the Dandenong South business on 28 October and helped raise $850. Popina Foods matched that figured, so the event raised a total of $1700.
People who attended were treated to a menu that featured some foods that Popina Foods manufactures, as well as a guest speaker.
Guest speaker Dr Joanna McMillan spoke about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and how BarleyMax, found in Goodness Superfoods Cereal, could assist.
Breast cancer survivor Sandra Wilson also shared her story of her experience with cancer.
Danielle Cross, from Popina Foods, said everyone enjoyed the breakfast.
“It was our first year holding a Big Breakfast and we look forward to next year where we can make it an even bigger event,” she said.
“We were expecting to raise about $600, so when we found out the total amount at the end of the day, it was a real surprise.”
