Group serves up its thanks

NOBLE Park Occasional Childcare is using a State Government grant to treat its new and existing clients to morning tea.
The childcare group received the $1200 grant in March for its service to the local community through the work of its volunteer group of parents and carers.
It will put on a morning tea, set up to look like a cafe, this month.
South East Metropolitan Region MP Gordon Rich-Phillips said Noble Park Occasional Childcare’s volunteers worked tirelessly.
“Local volunteer groups such as Noble Park Occasional Childcare provide valuable services for families in our local community,” Mr Rich-Phillips said.
Children from the centre will make cookies and cakes, take orders and serve its visitors for the morning tea.
There will also be plenty of activities for the children to enjoy.
The childcare group caters to children up to six years old and aims to stimulate learning through play.
The centre is staffed by three qualified staff and volunteer parents for each daily session.
The morning tea will be held on Friday 17 June from 11am for new, existing and potential clients.
