Probe into hospital deaths

THE Coroners Court is investigating the deaths of two Dandenong Hospital patients.
It’s alleged that on Boxing Day a Hallam man died just hours after he was discharged from the hospital, and Cranbourne grandmother Felicitas Guadarrama died on 27 December after being admitted on 21 December.
Her family has expressed concern that she was not receiving adequate medical treatment.
A Coroner’s Court spokesperson said “the coroner will not make a decision regarding an inquest until all information has been examined” regarding Ms Guadarrama’s death.
A spokeswoman for Southern Health, which operates Dandenong Hospital, said “we won’t be making any further comment until the findings are handed down by the Coroner’s Court”.
