RE: YOUR COMMUNITY VOICE: SRI SAMY

■ Thanks, Sri, for your great help and support that
you are providing to this community. I’m one of the many who got help
from Sri in my earlier days in Australia. The support she gave me has helped me to believe that I’m not lonely here and that I also have people who care for me.

■ Deepest admiration to you, Sri, for
your wonderful work while you’ve faced your own sadness and setbacks. I
wish the very best for you and your family.

RE: PEACEMAKERS OF THE STREETS

■ These police-type guys sound like just the ticket.
Giving these kids a break and getting them into having a go at life, not
just being wasted on crime, alcohol and drugs.

RE: COUNCIL COPS A SCOLDING

■ I would like to thank [Greater
Dandenong councillor] Maria Sampey for all the help and support she has
given the aged shoppers on the council bus trips. She has supported us
to get our shopping jeeps and two bags back on the bus. On behalf of all
the ladies concerned, I would like to thank Maria. She is a very caring
person.
