Raining Roos

CASEY CARDINIA FOOTBALL LEAGUE – round 8

IT RAINED heavily in all aspects at Keysborough.
The wet-weather slog on Saturday was relished by the opposing ROC Kangaroos – who rained goals in a 62-point win over the Burras.
Nothing went well for Keysborough as only two goals flew through the uprights til half-time and they only managed to double that amount by the final siren.
A slippery ball or wayward feet were the only things keeping ROC from claiming a triple-figure victory as it ran through 13.14 (92) to Keysborough’s 4.6 (30).
Michael Downie claimed a pair of goals and was named best afield for his efforts while Richard Minney stormed up and down the field to negate ROC’s impact as best he could.
Other Burras to impress on field were Reece Spadaccini, Cameron Dalton and Daniel Morland.
Keysborough slip below ROC on the Casey Cardinia pecking order – with only Hampton Park between the Burra and the wooden spoon.
In a league of haves and have nots, Keysborough will need to bounce back this week against Hampton Park to stand any chance of regaining moving back towards the middle of the Casey Cardinia pack.
