King of Concrete
This skate competition has four categories: 12 and under, 16 and under, ladies open and men’s open.
Compete for $5 or just watch free of charge.
– Noble Park Skate Park, Memorial Drive, Noble Park. Saturday 20 January, 11am to 5pm.
Tamil Thai Pongal 2018
The Tamil New Year and Harvest Festival will celebrate Tamil traditions through singing, dancing and games.
There’ll be food, clothes, kids’ entertainment and more.

Back to nature
The Alex Wilkie Nature Reserve is open every Friday and on the third Sunday of the month during summer and autumn.
The reserve is ideal for casual walks or enjoying a family barbecue or picnic.
Council park rangers are available for guided tours.
Live steamers mini-trains are available for rides on Sunday open days. Closed-toe shoes are required for train rides.

Kids get crafty
Children can create mermaid and pirate craft at these free workshops.

Free face painting
Kids can transform their faces with a free paint job.
– The Bazaar (near Cafe Marketto) at Dandenong Market, corner Clow and Cleeland streets, Dandenong. Sunday 21 January, 11am to 2pm.
