Three injured after gang assault

A GROUP armed with iron bars set upon three men in Springvale South on Friday 24 May.
About 7.40pm they were walking in Burden Park when men in a dark-coloured vehicle approached them.
The victims ran along Olympic Avenue and onto Richard Street, where a large group of men carrying weapons – including iron bars – assaulted them.
A 19-year-old was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
An 18-year-old Glen Waverley man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and a 19-year-old Melbourne man was treated for minor injuries.
Police have seized several weapons they believed were used in the assault.
