Hoon mum loses car

POLICE impounded a Springvale woman’s car for speeding with her three children on board in Dandenong.
Transit Safety Division members were patrolling Princes Highway about 7pm on 8 August when they detected the red Holden sedan travelling at 142 kilometres an hour in an 80 km/h zone .
They intercepted the car, discovered the children aged 15, 12 and six, and impounded the vehicle for 30 days under hoon legislation.
Police said the 41-year-old was expected to be charged on summons with speeding and careless driving.
