Robbers pour it on

A MAN was bashed as well as having his face covered with an unknown liquid by a group of robbers in Noble Park last Tuesday.
The 46-year-old Noble Park man was approached by three males, described as African in appearance, near the Lightwood and Corrigan roads intersection about 5am.
He was asked for a cigarette, then punched to the head.
A liquid was poured on his wounds, which caused a “burning pain”, Acting Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton of Greater Dandenong CIU said.
The man was struck to the back of the head, causing him to lose consciousness.
When he awoke, his wallet containing keys, tobacco and a large amount of cash was missing.
Acting Detective Sergeant Kirton said the victim was taken to Dandenong hospital with a broken eye socket and red marks on his face from the liquid.
Any information to Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
