Colours drawn together

By CASEY NEILL

CHILDREN are weaving together the fabric of Greater Dandenong at an accessible arts space.
Nebula: My Place opened in the Dandenong Civic Square last Monday, 29 September, to coincide with the Greater Dandenong Children’s Festival and will be open until 10 October.
Nebula is a workshop, gallery, performance and meeting place.
Within it, participants will use dyes and paints to colour fabric and paper, and combine them with written and spoken words to explore the threads of community and place.
The council is working with Metro Access and Arts Access Victoria to host the portable arts space which places the needs of artists with disabilities at the centre of its design.
