Cubby home for readers

BOOK cubbies are springing up in Springvale to get kids reading and books into homes.
The initiative started with a book swap last Wednesday at the Springvale Rise Primary School heights campus community hub.
“We are asking people to bring old books or magazines they no longer want to swap for another book or magazine,” hub leader Melanie Mumford said.
“We also have some donated books and magazines for people who don’t have a book to bring.
“We are establishing book cubbies – boxes of books out in the community that people can read, borrow, swap or just take home and keep.”
Contact Ms Mumford at Springvale Rise Primary School on 9546 3799 to get involved.
