A MAN stabbed an elderly family member with an arrow in Dandenong South last month, police allege, forcing it through his torso.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Kim Alp said police charged the 43-year-old man with attempted murder and other offences following the incident.
It’s alleged he went to a home in Norman Court with a high-powered crossbow about 7am on 28 December and shot seven arrows into the house.
He then confronted a 70-year-old man and after a scuffle with the family member, forced an arrow through his body by hand.
The victim’s wife was also home at the time and drove him to Dandenong Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Sen Const Alp said he remained in hospital following surgery and time in intensive care.
The alleged attacker handed himself in to Cranbourne Police Station the same morning, where he was interviewed and charged.
