EARLIER:

A KEYSBOROUGH business owner has been hospitalised after being dragged along the road as he tried to stop thieves from taking his trailer.
The owner spotted his stolen trailer on Cambria Road and approached the thieves in a laneway as they stopped to unload its contents.
But he was dragged along the road after he got stuck between the rare Ford Falcon utility and the dual axle trailer as the thieves tried to make their escape.
The securely parked trailer had been stolen overnight on Wednesday 8 April and the owner noticed it on Cambria Road, Keysborough, about 6am the next morning.
Thieves had stopped in a laneway between Cheltenham Road and Kirkham Road West and when approached they sped off south towards Kirkham Road West in the white utility, leaving the owner with severe leg injuries.
Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit police are calling for any information from the public.
The utility was equipped with a metal tray and may have a partial registration number of SDK.
The two men are described as being aged in their 30s and were wearing hoodies.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
