Police seize weapons

A SHOTGUN, pen pistols and rifles were among items seized from a 20-year-old Dandenong North man during a police search.
Greater Dandenong Tasking Unit executed a drugs warrant at a Garfield Court property on Friday 13 November.
They allegedly found two stolen vehicles – a $40,000 Volkswagen and a Holden Commodore valued at $7000 – with a loaded shotgun under a passenger seat and a loaded .22 pistol in a driver’s door well.
Officers allege they uncovered three grams of methylamphetamine, or ice, in a centre console and after heading inside the house found 37 grams of cannabis in a dining room cupboard.
They seized various parts of pen pistols and other firearms, shotgun shells, .22 calibre ammunition and knuckle dusters from the garage.
A second search warrant executed at a storage facility in Springvale Road, Mulgrave, used by the man allegedly uncovered three stolen motorcycles – an $8000 Suzuki, a $24,000 BMW and a $5000 Yamaha 250.
Police said two shortened rifles, a large quantity of ammunition, a compound bow, a projector and a camera were also inside the storage unit.
A man has been remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.
