Dandenong crash death

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

AN 18-year-old Dandenong woman was killed after she lost control of her car and hit a tree in Dandenong overnight.
Police believe the car was heading east along Cheltenham Road about 9pm on Thursday 25 February when it veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
The driver died at the scene while her two passengers, a 19-year-old woman from Dandenong South and a 20-year-old woman from Cranbourne North, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The death brings the 2016 road toll up to 48, seven more than this time last year.
Police are investigating the crash and have appealed for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or to make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
