Two 14-year-old boys have been caught by police after the Air Wing, Dog Squad and critical incident response team were called to chase the pair down.
The teenagers were spotted in a stolen Jeep Cherokee station wagon in Noble Park by police in an unmarked car.
The pursuit on the ground started around 3am on Sunday 28 August. Around the same time, the Air Wing was set in motion.
Police told The News the Jeep had been used in two armed robberies and multiple incidents of police evasion.
The unmarked police car followed the Jeep Cherokee through Noble Park to Mulgrave.
The Air Wing located the car in Zita Street, Mulgrave, before a foot chase began.
The offenders ran into the backyard of a property in Zita Street, and were caught by police and taken into custody.
The duo are set to face the Children’s Court, charged with aggravated burglary and evasion of police.
