Man faces attempted murder charge

A 20-year-old Dandenong man is charged with attempted murder after allegedly repeatedly running over a woman with a van.
Greater Dandenong CIU Senior Constable Riley Wesley said two men and two women arrived together at a reserve at Alsace Street and Alexandra Avenue, Dandenong, about 10pm on Tuesday 25 October.
He said all parties knew each other.
An altercation occurred and police allege a man driving a white van reversed over a 37-year-old woman a number of times before driving away.
The second man left the scene in a green-coloured sedan and is yet to be identified.
The victim was taken to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition, where she remains.
Police arrested the 20-year-old Dandenong man and charged him with attempted murder.
He was remanded until February.
Sen Const Wesley urged anyone with information about the man in the green sedan to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
