A suspended learner driver from Noble Park was speeding while drunk in Melton, police allege.
Melton Highway Patrol officers impounded the 22-year-old’s vehicle on High Street about 6pm on Sunday 19 February.
They allegedly detected the Holden Captiva travelling at 172km/h in a 60km/h zone and intercepted the driver.
She returned a preliminary breath test of 0.172 per cent, police allege, adding that she was driving on a suspended learner permit.
They impounded her car, and will charge her on summons with several offences including speeding, being an unaccompanied learner and drink driving.
