Police, PSOs and sheriff’s officers are out in force at Dandenong Railway Station.
They descended on the station from about 2pm today (Monday 26 June) as part of Operation Safe Station.
They’re targeting people who’ve failed to pay infringement notices, and public order issues.
Transit Safety Division police will be patrolling the Dandenong Railway Station transport hub, while local police patrol the Dandenong CBD.
“The operation aims to improve safety by deterring offenders and holding people to account for any previous offences,” Greater Dandenong Local Area Commander Inspector Mark Langhorn said.
