Dandenong Primary School raised cash for cancer research while building community connectedness.
Principal Daniel Riley said children were invited to dress in yellow on Thursday 24 August for a donation to the Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day fund-raising effort.
The school raised $440.
“Most importantly for us it was great community-building event,” Mr Riley said.
“We also held a morning tea for parents and staff.
“We threw the staff room door open and everyone brought a plate to share.
“It was a great way for parents to engage with teachers in a fun, relaxed way.”
