Bag snatched at traffic lights

A 61-year-old woman has had her handbag snatched as she waited at pedestrian lights at Leonard Avenue, Noble Park.

The victim felt a shove from behind, causing her to lose balance then her bag was grabbed from her shoulder about 2.30pm on 28 October.

She described the robber as a male in his mid-to-late teens with tan skin and short dark hair.

He got into the passenger side of a stolen Nissan Pulsar vehicle, which then drove off via Rich Street.

About 4pm, two males were seen dumping the Pulsar in Alsace Street Dandenong.

Some of the handbag’s contents were found inside the car. The woman’s phone and pension card remain missing.

Any information to Greater Dandenong CIU on 9767 7487 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and crimestoppersvic.com.au.
