Wallet stolen in street robbery

 A woman has been robbed of her wallet while trying to walk home along Buckley Street, Noble Park.

The woman had been shopping at Coles on Douglas Street before beginning her walk home down Buckley Street at approximately 5.20pm on Wednesday 27 November when a man of African appearance snatched her wallet from her hand.

The woman had been walking with her groceries in one hand and her wallet in the other.

Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage that shows the woman was followed on Buckley Street for some time before the robbery occurred.

The man is described as being of African appearance, tall and of slim build.

Police are warning the public to be vigilant with a recent increase in the number of street robberies in the area.
