Duo charged on robberies

AN 18-year-old man has been remanded in custody after being charged with a spate of armed robberies in Narre Warren, Berwick, Dandenong, Hallam, Ashburton, Wantirna South and Mount Waverley between March 25 and April 13. Andrew Foster, of no fixed address, appeared in the Dandenong Magistrates Court on Monday.

He faced 16 charges including armed robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage, threats to kill and aggravated burglary.

A 17-year-old man from Dandenong was charged with similar offences. He appeared in a children’s court and was remanded to appear again at a later date.

A 16-year-old girl from Dandenong was charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed by police to appear at court at a later date.
