Truck, bus collide in Dandenong North

By Cameron Lucadou-Wells

TWO drivers have been taken to Dandenong Hospital after a crane-truck and bus collided on Stud Road in Dandenong North this evening.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged in the smash at 5.30 about 200 metres north of Heatherton Road.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the two drivers were in a stable condition.

Weekly photographer Wayne Hawkins, on the scene, said it was lucky there were no passengers on the bus considering the strength of the impact.

‘‘The truck’s front bumper bar is on the ground, it’s windscreen is gone and the bus’s windscreen is on the ground.’’
