DANDENONG Rangers’ under-14 boys’ and girls’ teams are raising money to fund their visits to the national club championships later this year.
Both teams have qualified for the event, which brings together the best under-14 basketball teams in the nation.
The two championships both run between October 1-6 with the boys’ championships in Kalamunda, Western Australia and the girls’ championships in Morphett Vale, South Australia.
Players and parents from both teams are putting many hours into chocolate sales, barbecues and other fund-raising operations but both teams would like to attract any sponsorship they can.
Rangers marketing, communications and development manager Paul Flynn said any interested sponsors could contact him on 97947192 to make inquiries.

The Rangers’ under-14 girls finished fourth while the Rangers’ under-18 girls came back from a 20-point deficit but lost to Melbourne Tigers in the under-18 women’s grand final to finish with the silver medal.
In other Classic results the under-12 Rangers girls finished fourth, the under-16 boys finished 13th and the under-18 boys in 10th place.
