London 2012: Robert Frank out, Rangers stars hope for Opals glory

DINGLEY’S Robert Frank and his Australian teammates were beaten 3-0 in their first round match of the team’s table tennis event.

Justin Han, William Henzell and Frank were no match for their Singapore opponents, Ning Gao, Jian Zhan and Zi Yang.

Frank learnt much of his craft at the Dandenong Table Tennis Association.

Greater Dandenong’s basketball contingent will be hoping to fire for the Opals in their semi-final clash against the US at 2am Friday morning.

Kath McLeod and Jenn O’Hea both play for the Dandenong Rangers, Sam Richards won two WNBL titles with the club, Liz Cambage was with the Rangers as a junior, and Abby Bishop is a former forward at the club.
