Prominent trees vandalised

Vandals have fatally damaged a row of prominent trees in Dandenong. Eleven pin oaks in Langhorne Street were ringbarked by vandals. Greater Dandenong Council says the trees are likely to die and that it will cost $22,000 to replace them. Mayor Angela Long said witnesses should report the “senseless” acts to police and also call the council on 9239 5100.
