VSDCA: Endeavour Hills, Oakleigh vie for grand final berth

OAKLEIGH and Endeavour Hills both have the chance to win through to the Victorian Sub District Cricket Association north-east grand final this Saturday and Sunday.

Both the Oaks and the Eagles have scored places in the semi finals after wins over the weekend.

The Oaks, who finished in top spot, made 212 on the first day of play against Preston at Warrawee Park and then bowled out the Bull Ants for 156 on the second day with spinner Joe Roberts taking 5-42.

The Eagles, playing in their first finals series in the top grade of VSDCA, made 150 on seaming wicket at Sydney Pargeter Reserve then bowled out Coburg for 86 with Chris Periera taking a staggering 8-26.

The Eagles batted out the remainder of the second day finishing on 3-36 at stumps.
