THE homicide squad will investigate the death of a 37-year-old man who died while being transported to Casey Hospital.
The man, who was subject to a community service order, died while being transported to the hospital by police yesterday afternoon.
Victoria Police said in a statement the circumstances surrounding the death would be ‘‘subject to an open and transparent coronial inquest’’.
The investigation will be overseen by the Professional Standards Command and the Independent Broad Based Anti Corruption Commission.
