MONBULK’s Fleming’s Nurseries has won the best-in-show medal at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.
The ecstatic team of Australians – led by Wes Fleming – are celebrating their win in the ‘Ashes of horticulture’.
“We’re the best in the world – we’re the Usain Bolts of gardening,” shouted Wes Fleming. It was Fleming’s last try for the medal after nine attempts.
The 18-strong team hugged and broke into a spontaneous chorus of We Are Australian after being told the news.
Fleming designed the Somerfield Estate garden in Keysborough.
