A WIN on Saturday and a loss on Sunday have kept the Dandenong Panthers in the hunt to play in the Victorian Cricket Association Premier League finals this season.
The Panthers beat Casey-South Melbourne at Shepley Oval on Saturday, but were rolled at Camberwell Sports Ground by the Magpies on Sunday.
As the Panthers consolidated fourth spot on the Premier League ladder, frontrunner Carlton stumbled, losing both its games on the weekend.
The once unstoppable Blues are being reeled in by the competition and now sit only a game clear of St Kilda, and 14 points ahead of Dandenong.
The Panthers return to Shepley Oval this Saturday to begin a two-day game against Melbourne University, a team still in the hunt for a finals position.
