DANDENONG High School students tapped into career advice through a ‘speed dating’ session with a twist.
Dozens of people from different professions were positioned around the school’s gym on the last two Thursdays of term, and Year 10 students moved from job to job in groups.
Each speaker had five minutes to give students an insight to what they do, how they got there and why they do it.
Jobs covered ranged from solicitor to nurse, animator to molecular biologist, police officer to manufacturer and many more.
The sessions ran for the first time last year and received such rave reviews from students that teachers hope to make them an annual event.
Jobs up to speed
