Three stabbings in a fortnight

POLICE charged a 19-year-old man with attempted murder over a glassing in Dandenong on Friday night – one of three stabbings in Greater Dandenong in the past two weeks.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives said two men were arguing in Wilma Avenue about 8.20pm on 2 August when one hit the other in the face with a bottle and stabbed him with it several times.
A 45-year-old Dandenong man was bleeding heavily and collapsed due to his injuries before an ambulance took him to The Alfred in a serious condition.
Police arrested the alleged attacker, of no fixed address, in Shepparton on 3 August and charged him with attempted murder and intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury.
Meanwhile on 1 August, two neighbours got involved in an argument in Henderson Street, Keysborough, about noon.
A 39-year-old man is charged with recklessly and intentionally causing serious injury after allegedly using a razorblade to slice a 26-year-old man’s face along his jawbone.
On 24 July, police intercepted a vehicle outside the Dandenong Oasis Leisure Centre in Cleeland Street at 3.11am and the driver told them he had two stab wounds to his back.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
