By ROY WARD

DANDENONG District Cricket Association’s under-21 side will face City of Moorabbin CA for the Neil Wright under-21 shield at Junction Oval, St Kilda, on February 3.

The DDCA side sealed its place in the final in beating Eastern Cricket Association at Noble Park on Sunday by 155 runs.

The DDCA batted first and made 8-223 off 40 overs with Buckley Ridges’ Thomas Rowe (83), Berwick’s Cory Bevan (44) and Fountain Gate’s Stewart Scanlon (37) leading the charge.

In response the DDCA bowlers tore through the ECA, bowling them out for 68 in just 20 overs with Narre Warren’s James Giertz (5-27) and Springvale South’s Jarrod Armitage (3-23) taking the Lions’ share of the wickets.
