Strike continues at bus maker Volgren

An industrial dispute at Dandenong South bus maker Volgren is set to extend into this week.

Australian Manufacturing Workers Union vehicle division organiser Ashley Mayne, speaking at a four-hour stopwork action last Tuesday, said workers planned to strike this Thursday since there was no sign of a resolution.

Employees have been seeking higher pay and retaining a tools allowance in enterprise bargaining agreement negotiations.
