ST JOHN’S Regional College has been the first choice for Catholic secondary schooling in Dandenong for over 50 years.
With over 100 nationalities represented in the student body, the college is a world within a school.
St John’s focuses on helping students find the right path and place within the school community and out in the world.
The safe, encouraging and challenging environment at St John’s allows students to grow and succeed spiritually, academically and emotionally. Curriculum and co-curriculum programs are designed to ensure the highest possible quality of learning experience and a sense of belonging.
Every facet of St John’s, both in and out of the classroom is built upon five guiding principles: faith, learning, integrity, service, community. These guiding principles are reflected in the actions and behaviour of both teachers and students.
St John’s Regional College is a community in which learning, self-discipline, responsibility and connectedness are fostered, valued and encouraged, allowing students to grow into productive, valuable members of the wider community.
Last week a carnival and mass marked the annual St John’s Day.
The Dandenong College students also performed in Talent Quest heats, and will return to the stage for the final this Thursday 15 May at 7.30pm at the Drum Theatre.
The judges include two past students who’ve gone on to conquer stage and screen, Nathan Murfey and Jordan Herbert, plus Kent and Franca Ross, who’ve worked and studied extensively in the music and stage industries.
Tickets are available for $10 on 9767 4022 and everyone is welcome.
