Traders meet

DANDENONG Retail Traders Association’s next event will include its annual general meeting.
All customer-based businesses, including retail, service and professional, are encouraged to attend on Tuesday 5 August.
The AGM had previously been held in November alongside the group’s business awards, but chairwoman Glenys Cooper said a new business plan developed with help from City of Greater Dandenong recommended separating the two.
“With the implementation of the new business plan there are some exciting times ahead for the association, but that is difficult to achieve without a vibrant executive with people who are prepared to work to make central Dandenong return to its former glory,” she said.
“If you run a customer-based business and are prepared to work for that improvement of central Dandenong that the business plan outlines, then we want to hear from you and we want you on the executive.”
The AGM starts at 6pm and concludes about 7.30pm at the Ramada Encore Hotel, 50 McCrae Street, Dandenong.
Call Glenys Cooper on 0417 394 722 or 9794 9397 for information about the function or DRTA.
