Mob attack after argument

UP TO 12 men turned on a Dandenong North man who tried to stop an argument on Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.
The 22-year-old saw the group, of Indian appearance, arguing with two Caucasian men shortly after midnight on Saturday 29 November.
The group set upon the victim when he intervened, stomping on his head before fleeing the scene.
Staff at a nearby hotel called police and an ambulance, but the victim declined treatment.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Tony Lavars said he suffered significant bruising and lacerations to face and legs but no broken bones.
He appealed for the two Caucasian men to come forward and any other witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
