RESIDENTS will be kept updated on plans to put homes on two former Springvale South school sites.
Greater Dandenong councillors at their 14 September meeting agreed to seek a planning scheme change for the Keysborough College and Coomoora Primary School grounds on Coomoora Road.
The change would allow the Department of Education and Training to dispose of the land and make way for a “high-quality, integrated residential development that respects the established neighbourhood character”.
Councillor Roz Blades said residents were worried about high density housing and asked if the council could keep them informed.
Engineering services director Julie Reid assured her that consultation would take place.
