Hampers offer helping hand

By Melissa Meehan
This year, the team at the National Australia Bank at Keysborough is making it a little easier for Dandenong families by helping the fund-raising efforts of local charity, The Dandenong District Benevolent Society.
NAB Keysborough branch manager Bashir Keshtiar said it was a great opportunity to share the Christmas spirit with the local community.
“NAB recognises the positive impact that The Dandenong District Benevolent Society has on the community and the team wanted to help them make this time of year special for those who may not otherwise have a reason to celebrate,” Mr Keshtiar said.
Mark Melvin, general manager for Victoria for NAB Retail Banking, said the Christmas hamper could be raffled to help raise much-needed cash. “Donating the hamper is a way of helping charities with their fund-raising. By providing a prize, The Dandenong Benevolent Society can concentrate on raising money,” he said.
The hamper will contain a range of Christmas foods such as puddings, nuts and biscuits.
