Police allege a Keysborough woman was speeding and drunk behind the wheel in Dandenong.
State Highway Patrol members stopped a blue Mazda sedan travelling west on Cheltenham Road about 4.20pm on Thursday 23 June after they recorded the car’s speed at 82km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police spoke with the driver, a 38-year-old Keysborough woman, who they said returned a positive reading in a preliminary breath test.
A breath test then returned a blood alcohol concentration reading of 0.161 per cent, they said.
Officers impounded her car for 30 days and handed her a $997 bill for towing and storage.
They suspended the woman’s licence on the spot and she is expected to be charged on summons with exceeding the speed limit and drink driving.
