Park is ready to rock

IT’S TIME to dust off the blue suede shoes and get ready for an afternoon of rock ‘n’ roll and swing dancing, when Music in the Park moves into Springvale this month.
A free concert featuring 1950s rock ‘n’ roll will be held on Sunday, 15 March from 2pm to 4pm.
Visitors will be treated to songs by The Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and The Shadows.
All proceeds raised by the Lions Club to people affected by the bushfires.
The Lions Club will also be accepting donations of items on the day that will assist with the rebuilding of communities in fire affected areas.
Items needed include men’s business suits, household kitchen items, pet food, first-aid items, baby formula and safety protection gear including goggles, hard hats and wide brimmed hats.
Larger items include hammers, axes, tools, spades and rakes, washing machines and fridges. Those wanting to donate these items can call 0400 888 952.
