Vandals torched a pram on a Noble Park home’s porch while five children and their mother slept inside.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the fire, which occurred about 11.30pm on Thursday 2 March, in Corrigan Road.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Renae Du Plessis said CFA crews attended and extinguished the fire before it could spread.
She said that police recovered some burnt paper next to the pram but had not determined how the fire was started.
