Shot fired at car

By Casey Neill

A bullet shattered a car window in the driveway of a Noble Park home.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Acting Sergeant Dean Hedge said the victim was inside the Balotta Crescent home with his wife and son and heard a loud bang about 8.05pm on Sunday 2 July.
He went outside to find a broken rear window and damaged tyre on his Holden Frontera SUV.
Police believe the shooter used a shotgun with buckshot and fired from the roadway.
Det Act Sgt Hedge said the motive was unknown, and no-one was threatened or injured.
“We can’t say whether it’s random or possibly related to any of the occupants in the house,” he said.
He urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
