A Springvale boy suffered two punctured lungs in an alleged stabbing.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Chris Zurek said the alleged incident occurred at a house on Springvale Road, Springvale, about 9.30pm on Tuesday 21 November.
He said a 17-year-old received three stab wounds to his back.
The victim’s friends rendered first aid before catching a bus to Springvale Railway Station and reporting the incident to PSOs.
Paramedics took the boy to The Alfred hospital.
Det Sen Const Zurek said police charged a 19-year-old Springvale South man with recklessly causing serious injury over the incident.
He was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 8 February next year.
